The life cycles of red-spotted masu salmon juveniles in the hatchery-like environments and natural streams, and their respective percentages: Males that reach early maturation experience an extremely high growth rate in the early stage of their life cycle. These male fish that become ready to reproduce in their first fall are included in the resident phenotype.
