The accumulation of T cells with low Bach2 levels disrupts the epidermal barrier, weakening epidermal structures and promotes tissue fibrosis, resulting in the loss of normal tissue function. Proper regulation of Bach2 levels in T cells may help resolve atopic dermatitis symptoms, prevent chronic inflammation and skin barrier disruption and reduce the risk of disease development.
