BMP2 induced MSC chondrogenic differentiation and triggered endochondral ossification. Sox9 promoted chondrogenic differentiation and inhibited BMP2-induced endochondral ossification. Notch1 regulated BMP2-induced endochondral ossification by inhibiting Sox9 expression and enhancing VEGFA expression.
