How the technique works: A camera records patterns of light as they reflect off the surface of the eye. An algorithm uses a so-called surface normal vector – the direction that is perpendicular to the eye surface – to measure the eye shape, which can then be used to estimate gaze direction. "FoV" stands for "field of view."
