Different observation perspectives of the outdoor three-dimensional hiking navigation road network map in Yuelu Mountain, Changsha, China, created from 1,170 crowdsourced trajectories collected in 2021. Orange lines in the figure denote the roads derived from the crowdsourced hiking data. The green-to-while gradient of the background refers to the DEM elevation information. The figure shows strong agreement between the generated 3D road network and the actual terrain with high consistency between the road network elevation information and the DEM.
