Tryke (IMAGE)
Caption
EES can engage the neuromuscular system during cycling activities in the lab and also in ecological environment.
We developed an algorithm that detected upper-limb forces and timing to trigger stimulation. The degree of effort detected from the combined forces of both upper-limbs scaled the amplitude of EESGO-TRYKE which translated into a proportional increase in the force produced by the lower limbs in outdoor cycling activity.
