A zoomed-out view of Andromeda XXXV (IMAGE)
Caption
Not only is Andromeda XXXV the dimmest and smallest known satellite galaxy in the Andromeda system, it's about 3 million light-years away, making it very hard to spot. The ellipse within the inset shows where this companion galaxy was discovered.
