Seasonal variation of NDVI reflecting floating vegetation patterns

Figure 2: Seasonal variation of NDVI reflecting floating vegetation patterns. NDVI increases from spring to summer as floating vegetation flourishes and decreases from fall to winter. In winter when the floating vegetation disappears, NDVI values turn negative.
