Alterations in the luminescence intensity of activatable phosphorescent probes following viscosity modifications (IMAGE)
Caption
Upon one-photon excitation at 400 nm, L1C exhibited an impressive 8-fold increase in phosphorescence emission within the 400–800 nm wavelength range as the viscosity increased from 3.0 cp to 326.0 cp. The phosphorescence intensity of L1C at 585 nm (logphos.) showed a strong linear correlation with the viscosity of the medium (logη, 3.0 cp to 326.0 cp), highlighting its potential as a reliable indicator. Similarly, L2C demonstrated a significant 26-fold enhancement in phosphorescence and also exhibited a linear relationship.
