Comparison of Sintering Behavior of Single-Phase (A) and Dual-Phase (B) Proton Ceramic Electrolytes (IMAGE)
Caption
(A) Single-phase electrolyte powder material exhibits grain growth according to its inherent sintering properties as the temperature increases. (B) The dual-phase electrolyte powder, composed of two phases with high and low sintering properties, accelerates the initial sintering properties as one phase determines the initial sintering, while the remaining refractory phase undergoes grain growth via the Ostwald ripening phenomenon, ultimately forming a single-phase.
