"In this study, I looked at how bacterial colonies grow and change in real-time and tracking its past. This is a key part of this research method. Basically, this approach offers a new way to find and study hidden groups of bacteria that are genetically similar but behave differently. This is a new and different way of doing things in this area of research", says postdoctoral researcher Jonathan Hira.
