Healthy Eating Index scores by cognitive group (IMAGE)
Caption
Healthy Eating Index scores for 13 food components at age 43 by cognitive groups (1=low, 2=low-moderate, 3=high-moderate, or 4=high global cognitive ability). Scores closest to the outer ring (representing the “perfect score”) reflect higher adherence to a healthy diet. The “perfect score” represents lower intake of moderation items (added sugar, saturated fats, refined grains, and sodium) and higher intake of recommended components.
