Changes in warning indicators at 40°C high temperatures over China based on the CMIP6 multi-model ensemble projection under the global warming levels of 1.5°C, 2°C, 3°C, 4°C and 5°C (IMAGE)
Caption
This figure displays the spatial changes of various indicators relative to the current climate under different global warming levels after bias correction. The black symbols display newly emerged areas of high temperatures. This illustrates that with global warming, the area affected by 40°C extreme high temperature is expanding, the number of days (TX40d), the intensity (TXx), and the length of season (TX40l) are all increasing.
