Dr. Richard Plemper is a Regents’ Professor and Distinguished University Professor with Georgia State's Institute for Biomedical Sciences. He is director of the Georgia State Center for Translational Antiviral Research. Plemper's research specializes in pathogenesis of respiratory RNA viruses and the development of next-generation antiviral therapeutics directed against respiratory viruses of pandemic concern.
