Performances of GHz modulated functionalities. (a) The measured polarization states on the Poincaré sphere of a modulated focal spot. The blue dots on the Poincaré sphere represent the polarization states of the focal spot obtained from experimental tests, showcasing the generation of a focused beam with reconfigurable arbitrary polarizations. (b) Peak electro-optic amplitude for modulation frequencies up to 2 GHz. Experimental results of switchable focal length (c)–(e), OAM beams (f)–(i) and Bessel beams (j)–(l) under different local polarization states realized by applying different voltages to the electrodes, respectively.
