At this year's Hannover Messe, the research team led by Professors Stefan Seelecke (left) and Paul Motzki (right) from Saarland University will be showcasing developments that make use of dielectric elastomers, such as smart textiles: An ultrathin film that can transmit touch sensations is able to turn textiles into a virtual second skin.
