The Folldal drum (IMAGE)
Caption
The Folldal drum is one of the best preserved and best documented ceremonial Sámi drums. It was taken on a long journey from the time it was confiscated in Namdalen in 1723 until it was returned to its place of origin 300 years later. It is now managed by the South Sámi Saemien Sijte Museum.
