Nanyang Assistant Professor Wong Liang Jie (left) and research engineer Wesley Wong from NTU Singapore’s School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering with a transmission electron microscope. They are part of a team of researchers who are planning to use the microscope in experiments to confirm the results of simulations which showed that highly focused and finely controlled X-rays can be produced using electrons whose wave patterns have been changed.
