Expression of genes activated by the Notch pathway in healthy (TAV) and fused (BAV) aortic valves during embryonic development and in healthy (control) and calcified (CAVD) adult valves. Inhibited genes have been identified in calcified adult valves, in fused embryonic valves, and in both situations.
