Increasingly experts at the CTBTO are detecting the noble gas xenon as they monitor the globe for signals of nuclear explosions. Emissions are being registered at many locations. And the points of origin are increasing. For the CTBTO, not a good trend: " If you have more emissions than you anticipate, then you have a problem," says Lassina Zerbo, Director of the International Data Center (IDC) and incoming Executive Secretary of the CTBTO.
