Hoboken, N.J.--January 24, 2018-- John Wiley and Sons Inc., (NYSE:JW-A) (NYSE:JW-B) in partnership with The American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), announced today the launch of the College's second official journal, JACCP: Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (JACCP), with its first online issue to publish in time for the ACCP Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy in Seattle, Washington, October 20-23, 2018.

JACCP will complement ACCP's flagship journal, Pharmacotherapy through publication of papers across the spectrum of clinical pharmacy practice. The new Journal will serve as a forum for discussions of clinical pharmacy practice research, education, and training. In addition, JACCP will publish official ACCP position and policy papers and Board of Pharmacy Specialties recertification modules.

Dr. Jerry Bauman, PharmD, FCCP, FACC Dean Emeritus and Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy will serve as the JACCP's first Editor-in-Chief. Dr. Bauman will lead an esteemed Editorial Board in rigorous peer review of submissions to JACCP.

"A gap exists for publications specifically devoted to the practice of clinical pharmacy. To this end, I view JACCP as a forum of sorts with every paper therein relevant to the practice of clinical pharmacy - from original research on practice models/innovations and implementation science to reviews on issues of importance to the practitioner such as health care policy and clinical pharmacy education," said Dr. Bauman.

"Wiley is proud to be partnering with ACCP and Pharmacotherapy Publications on the launch of an important new journal that will help clinical pharmacists in their everyday work," said Alison Labbate, Editorial Director, Research, Wiley. "JACCP's focus on practice-based innovations, policies, research, and education will help clinical pharmacists improve human health around the world."

The Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy will be online only and available to ACCP members as a membership benefit, and to institutions through a subscription.

The journal is now accepting submissions online. For more information and to submit an article for consideration, visit the JACCP website.
