Ole Green, Associate Professor at the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University and CEO of Agrointelli, has won the Innovation Fund Denmark prize "Innovator of the Year 2018". The prize was awarded by the Minister of Higher Education and Science Søren Pind (V) on 26 January 2018.

The 39-year-old entrepreneurial and innovative Ole Green was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Agroecology in October 2017. He collaborates with researchers in the Department of Agroecology on 11 projects.

Work in these projects has been a significant factor in the development of self-driving agricultural machines, precision spraying and other smart technologies for farmers. These technologies and the creation of new Danish jobs that follow on the development of these technologies were the reasons that Innovation Fund Denmark granted the prize "Innovator of the Year 2018" to Ole Green.

Ole Green was nominated by the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark.
