Researchers report a rapid diagnostic test for diagnosing iron and vitamin A micronutrient deficiencies; the testing approach combines multiple fluorescent markers and immunoassay approaches on a single test strip and provides results in around 15 minutes, with 88% and 100% sensitivity and 97% and 100% specificity for iron and vitamin A deficiency, respectively, in human serum samples.
