Oxford University Press and the National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE) are pleased to announce the launch of Clean Energy.

Clean Energy is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal which will serve as a medium to present the latest research developments and knowledge on topics related to clean energy. The journal will enable and encourage the sharing of original research, reviews, perspectives, top insights, methodological papers, technical papers, and innovative ideas amongst the research and engineering community, with the overall goal of providing a platform for publishing papers of the highest quality and significance in all areas of clean energy.

This is a comprehensive academic journal for global energy science and technology experts, scholars, and administrators. In this journal, "clean energy" includes not only new energy and renewable energy technology, but also efficient cleaning and utilization technology represented by the realization of near-zero emissions of pollutants and CO2.

"With the launch of Clean Energy, we hope to provide a brand-new platform for rapid and public release of these achievements to promote the spread of the innovations and developments in energy science and technology worldwide," said Wenhua Li, executive editor of Clean Energy. "The journal will serve as important conduit for extending the mission of the whole energy community. With Oxford University Press, we'll be able to go even further with communicating the important science we publish and promoting the field of clean energy."

Rhodri Jackson, editorial director of Asia Journals at Oxford University Press, said: "We are really excited to launch Clean Energy. The journal launches at a crucial time - when research on clean and renewable energy sources is increasingly needed. We are greatly looking forward to working with NICE and the Shenhua Group to help Clean Energy grow into the leading open access journal in the field of clean energy technologies."
