American Oil Chemists' Society and Wiley Confirm new publishing partnership

HOBOKEN, NJ --J uly 12, 2017 -- John Wiley and Sons Inc., (NYSE:JWa) (NYSE:JWb) is delighted to announce its selection by the American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS) as publishing partner for its prestigious scholarly journals in the science and technology of oils, fats, surfactants and related materials. Founded in 1909, AOCS is a leading international professional society with over 4,000 members.

Beginning in January 2018, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility for AOCS's three prestigious journals: Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society (JAOCS), Lipids, and Journal of Surfactants and Detergents (JSD). These three titles will be hosted on Wiley Online Library, including back file content from the journals dating as far back as 1924.

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society (JAOCS) is the Society's flagship title. Formerly Journal of the Oil and Fat Industries (1924-27), Oil and Fat Industries (1927-1932), and Oil and Soap (1932-1947), JAOCS has been the leading source for peer-reviewed original research related to the fats and oils industries since 1947. It has an Impact Factor of 1.421.

Since its founding in 1966, Lipids has been a prominent journal in the field, publishing in the general area of lipid research. It has an Impact Factor of 1.934.

Journal of Surfactants and Detergents (JSD) is a growing bimonthly scientific journal dedicated to the study of the practical and theoretical aspects of oleochemical and petrochemical surfactants, soaps and detergents. It has an Impact Factor of 1.450.
