Springer partners with Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association

Taiwanese society and Springer to jointly publish journal in computational intelligence

As of 2015, Springer will publish the International Journal of Fuzzy Systems (IJFS), the official journal of the Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association (TFSA). The cooperation will allow the journal to expand its global visibility in the area of fuzzy research.

The International Journal of Fuzzy Systems is dedicated to presenting high-quality papers that deal with the theory, design and application of fuzzy systems, soft computing systems, gray systems and extension theory systems ranging from hardware to software. Launched in 1999, the quarterly journal will be published by Springer starting with Volume 17, Issue 1.

Professor Shun-Feng Su, the former president of the TFSA and currently the managing editor of the IJFS, said, "We are glad to collaborate with Springer in publishing this journal. We believe that the partnership will improve communication among fuzzy systems researchers and enhance the impact of the journal internationally."

Professor Wen-June Wang, editor-in-chief of the IJFS, continued, "By cooperating with Springer, we hope the IJFS can profit from this international publisher's expertise and innovative tools thereby promoting academic research and Industrial applications."

According to Dr. Lu Ye, editorial director at Springer's Beijing office, "The IJFS is a valuable addition to our journal portfolio on computational intelligence. We are excited about this cooperation and believe working together with the TFSA will be fruitful for both partners."

The Taiwan Fuzzy Systems Association is an academic society whose main goal is to promote research and education in fuzzy systems and related research areas.
