Computational & Applied Mathematics to be published by Springer

Springer's São Paulo office reaches out to research and academic community in Brazil

Starting in 2013, Springer will publish the research journal Computational & Applied Mathematics, a primary scientific publication of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC). Published three times a year, it will be available electronically on link.springer.com and in print.

Founded in 1981, Computational & Applied Mathematics publishes original research in applied and computational mathematics with interfaces to physics, engineering, chemistry, biology, operations research, statistics, social sciences and economy. The journal maintains high standards of scientific research and publishes top-rank contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance to computational and applied mathematics. The editor-in-chief is Jose Eduardo Souza de Cursi of INSA-Rouen in France.

Geraldo N. Silva, President of SBMAC, said, "With this co-publishing agreement with Springer, we are beginning a new era, which will give greater visibility to our journal in the international community. Choosing Springer to co-publish Computational & Applied Mathematics was not a difficult choice, because Springer is, without a doubt, one of the world's most recognized publishers of high-quality scientific and academic journals."
