Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Foundation introduces Sonography Research Institute

Business Announcement

SAGE

PLANO, TEXAS -- The SDMS Foundation would like to introduce the Sonography Research Institute (SRI) which has been established through a strategic partnership among sonography organizations to assist sonographers with acquiring the skills and expertise to conduct and publish original sonographic research.

The "Young Sonographer Investigators" will be matched with highly experienced, well-published, sonographer researchers who are luminaries within the profession. The sonographer candidates chosen to participate in this first cohort will receive personalized instruction and support to learn more about how to frame research questions, how to conduct original research, what kinds of research and statistical tools could and should be applied, how to successfully complete an Institutional Review Board (IRB) application, and how to prepare research project results for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Candidates must be a current SDMS member in good standing, certified by a SDMS-recognized credentialing organization (currently ARDMS and CCI) in the specialty area in which the research is to be performed and have obtained an Associate's degree or higher.
