The Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine is pleased to announce the 2011 winners of the Young Investigator Award. This is a $500 travel grant for undergraduate/ graduate students and/or individuals within 5 years of receiving doctoral degrees who are members of the Society to attend the Experimental Biology meeting in Washington DC this month. Candidates submitted abstracts of their research work which were evaluated by a committee on the basis of originality and importance in the field, organization and presentation of the data and the candidate's level of training and contribution to the work. Thirty-seven applications were received and the following seven awardees were selected:
