Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, Singapore and Washington DC (7 October 2009) – SAGE is delighted to announce a new publishing agreement with the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) to publish their journal, Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research from January 2010.

Transfer stimulates dialogue between the European trade union movement and the academic and research community, helping to foster understanding of significant developments in the field of European trade union policy and industrial relations.

As the world's leading independent academic and professional publisher, SAGE publishes more than 520 journals, with more than two thirds covering the main disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Transfer joins a prestigious collection of journals in the field of industrial relations including Journal of Industrial Relations, European Journal of Industrial Relations and Work, Employment and Society.

"Transfer helps to forge an important connection between the European trade union movement and academia," commented Ziyad Marar, Deputy Managing Director and Publishing Director, SAGE. "Journals such as Transfer play a key role in ensuring that social research is practical and useful for policy makers; something that we are passionate to support through our publishing programme at SAGE."

"As it enters its 16th year, Transfer looks forward to its publishing partnership with SAGE and to gaining the wider audience the journal deserves," said Philippe Pochet, General Director of the ETUI.

Published quarterly, the first issue of Transfer to be published by SAGE will be February 2010 (vol.16 issue 1). Themes for the 2010 volume include coordination of taxation policies within the EU, and employee driven innovation and workplace learning.
