IADR/AADR Journal of Dental Research 2008 Cover of the Year

International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research

Alexandria, Va. – The International & American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) announces C. E. Semino as the JDR Cover of the Year winner for the paper "Self-assembling Peptides: From Bio-inspired Materials to Bone Regeneration," (J Dent Res 87: 600-616, July 2008). The award will be presented at IADR's 87th General Session & Exhibition and AADR's 38th Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida, USA, on April 1, 2009.

The award, voted on by the IADR/AADR Publications Committee, honors the cover that features an aesthetically pleasing, scientifically novel image that enhances the impact of the article. All 12 JDR covers from 2008 were reviewed.

"IADR/AADR is honored to present the JDR Cover of the Year Award to Dr. Semino," said JDR Editor, Anthony "Tony" Smith. "In its fourth year, this award not only highlights the Journal of Dental Research, but showcases how images can enhance the impact of the research paper."
