International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research

Alexandria, Va. – The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) announces Lars Petersson, Halmstad Hospital, Sweden, as the 2009 recipient of the IADR E.W. Borrow Memorial Award. Dr. Petersson will be recognized at the IADR 87th General Session & Exhibition in Miami, Florida, USA, on April 1, 2009, and will receive a plaque and a monetary prize of $2,000.

In its 18th year, this award is made in memory of the late E.W. Borrow and is generously supported by The Borrow Foundation. Selection was based on the originality of contributions and record of achievement in the field of oral health promotion and on the significance of research carried out on the oral health of children.

"IADR is delighted to provide the E.W. Borrow Memorial Award," said IADR Executive Director Christopher H. Fox. "This Award recognizes and stimulates research in oral health prevention for children, which helps to further IADR's mission of advancing oral health worldwide."
