PREVENTING MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE: PROGRESS AND POSSIBILITIES, a new report from the National Research Council and Institute of Medicine, examines the toll these disorders take on young people, their families, and society. It also assesses which interventions are successful at preventing these disorders, and recommends next steps that policymakers, researchers, and others should take to help promote mental health in children and adolescents.
