Harmen van Paradijs, Senior Publishing Editor for Education at Springer, said: "The partnership with the Education Research Institute will further strengthen Springer's presence in the Asia Pacific region. The Asia Pacific Education Review is an important journal in education research with a wide readership and will enrich Springer's expanding portfolio in education research journals. We will be able to make the journal available to a worldwide audience, both in print and online."

Professor Young-Lin Moon, Editor-in-Chief, said: "Although we were contacted by many international publishing companies, our choice was Springer. We are very excited about working with Springer because it respects our journal policy, has the capability to enhance the journal's reputation and will ensure high-quality publication. I am confident that they will support us in becoming a leading journal in the field of educational research."

Springer will publish APER both electronically and in print beginning in 2009 with Volume 10, Issue 1. The journal's back issues to Volume 1 will be available on www.springerlink.com, Springer's online information platform. Features include fast, electronic publication in Online First™, Cross Reference Linking and Table of Contents Alerts.

In a second agreement, Springer renewed its publishing cooperation with the National Science Council, Taiwan, and will continue to co-publish the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education.
