Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, and Singapore (May 7, 2007) -- SAGE, publisher of over 460 journals, is pleased to announce, in partnership with the Midwest Academy of Management (MAM) and Baker College, that it will begin publishing the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies (JLOS) beginning August 2007.

Co-edited by Fred Luthans and John Slocum, JLOS publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research articles on leadership and organizational studies, focusing in particular on the intersection of these two areas of study. JLOS aims to provide scholarly understanding of the effective application of leadership and other issues in an organizational context. In other words, the journal investigates all aspects of organizations/management (primarily leadership, but also organizational behavior, strategy, and human resource management). Unlike journals that focus only on leadership or only on organization and management, JLOS coalesces these areas of study into a coherent whole.

"Our strategic alliance with SAGE will be a tremendous benefit to the impact JLOS has in the field," added Bill Snavely, MAM President. "One of our primary goals in seeking a publishing partner has been to make JLOS’s content easily accessible and available to subscribers and to library patrons not only in print but in searchable, digital form as well. With JLOS on SAGE Journals Online, readers will be able to follow the research relationships of a JLOS article with citing and cited articles via SAGE Journals Online’s ‘toll-free’ inter-journal linking feature."

"We are delighted to partner with the MAM to publish their official journal which further complements and strengthens SAGE’s list of books and journals in Management and Organization Studies," commented Dr. Peter Binfield, Journals Editorial Director at SAGE. "We look forward to increasing the journal’s online accessibility and usage, and to collaborating with the MAM and the JLOS editorial board to achieve their vision for the journal."
