A 52-year-old woman with a hoarse voice and tingling in the hand

Press Release from PLoS Medicine

Peer-Reviewed Publication

PLOS

In a case-based article in PLoS Medicine, Salman Razvi (Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom) and Petros Perros (Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom) present the case of a woman who presented to an ear, nose, and throat doctor with a hoarse voice. She had been investigated three years previously by a neurologist for right-sided facial pain and a brain scan had shown a small "cyst" in the pituitary gland. She also had tingling in the hand. What was the diagnosis? The authors discuss how they came to an answer, and how the patient was treated.
