Journal of the American Medical Directors Association accepted into prestigious ISI Index

New York, NY, October 26, 2006 -- The Journal of the American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA), Official Journal of the American Medical Directors Association, published by Elsevier, has been accepted by Thomson Scientific (formerly ISI), for inclusion in the Science Citation Index ExpandedTM and Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine databases. JAMDA (published 9 times a year) offers coverage of the issues most important to healthcare professionals providing long-term care.

"Inclusion in ISI is a compelling sign that JAMDA is becoming an important player as a resource in the world of long-term care management and research," said Editor-in-Chief, Dan Osterweil, MD, CMD.

The 2008 Impact Factor will be the first Impact Factor for JAMDA and will cover the 2006 and 2007 volume years.

In the evaluation process, Thomson Scientific stated that JAMDA is a well-produced, high-quality publication whose overall citation rate has increased measurably over the years.
