Genomatix Software GmbH of Munich, Germany announced today that it will sell its products to the Chinese market through Beijing ZGZ Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. ("ZGZ"). Founded in 1998 by the China Biomedicine & Biochemical Academy (China BIB), which provided services exclusively to the Chinese government, ZGZ has become an independent entity last year.
ZGZ is focusing on the research and development in biomedicine, new drug resources, biology information and biometrics research. Based on its rich experience and technological background, ZGZ is active in the international biochip-related field, and will contribute to the China biochip and bioscience community by connecting the western world with China, especially by providing advanced products and services to the Chinese bioscience research.
Genomatix is a pioneer and leader in the analysis and understanding of eukaryotic gene regulation. Core competences at Genomatix are annotation driven microarray analysis, regulatory network and pathway mining, and promoter analysis on sequence level. The entire Genomatix product spectrum, from the integrated microarray analysis pipeline to the MatBase transcription factor knowledge base, will be distributed by ZGZ.

Genomatix and ZGZ will be present at the "International Forum on Bio-chip Technologies 2006" in Beijing, October 9-12, 2006.
