Hoboken, NJ, July 25, 2005 – Global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced the November 2005 publication of the sixth edition of the Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Correlations, a benchmark textbook in the field of mammalian biochemistry for undergraduates, graduates, and students in professional schools.

Edited by Thomas M. Devlin, Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Correlations, 6th Edition is a complete update from its previous edition published in 2001. The text includes the latest scientific research on the biochemistry of mammalian cells; detailed examinations on the relationship between events at the cellular level to the subsequent physiological processes in the whole animal; and examples of human diseases derived from aberrant biochemical processes.

Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Correlations features detailed, full-color illustrations that explain all concepts discussed in the text; clinical correlations (explaining the relationship between the biochemical concepts and human diseases), questions (formatted after the medical school board examinations) with explained answers at the end of every chapter; a concise appendix that reviews key organic chemistry concepts and a new extensive glossary. With the publication of the sixth edition, the textbook includes new and exciting descriptions of cell biology processes. Additionally, the textbook will be available as an EGrade Plus solution, featuring course management and grading tools for professors, teaching aids such as powerpoint slides and animations, a test bank, and for students a full, interactive version of the text linking the questions to the explanation within the text, supplementary questions, and animations to assist with understanding the concepts.
