Of the 50 companies, 48 recorded increased sales from 2003 to 2004, according to the survey. Dow Chemical ranked first in sales, for the fourth consecutive year, at $40 billion, followed by DuPont at $30.1 billion and ExxonMobil Chemical at $27.8 billion.
Dow Chemical sales rose by 23 percent, sales at number two DuPont remained virtually the same as the previous year and ExxonMobil Chemical’s sales increased by 38 percent.
