Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Galter Ambulatory Care Pavilion recently received "The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award," an annual real estate award that recognizes outstanding building operations, management, retail and amenities. Northwestern received recognition in the Medical Office Building category.

"We are honored to receive this prestigious award from such a significant real estate management organization as it further affirms the excellence we've achieved in developing a hospital that is completely patient-focused," said Jean Przybylek, vice president, Operations at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. "From entrance to exit, Northwestern Memorial Hospital offers patients and visitors a welcoming, inviting and comfortable atmosphere."

The Galter Ambulatory Care Pavilion along with the Feinberg Pavilion were opened in 1999 and embody state-of-the-art information and communications technology, such as nursing automation and documentation, which also includes the electronic medication administration record and computerized provider order-entry or CPOE. The hospital also has developed a world renowned arts program that focuses on healing arts and works that celebrate Chicago, the Midwest and the history of the Northwestern Memorial Hospital organization.
