Book Announcement

Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging

There's a new resource available for those seeking information regarding an increasingly important specialization in cardiac care. Nuclear Cardiac Imaging: Terminology and Technical Aspects, by Elpida S. Crawford, MS, CNMT and Syed Sajid Husain, MD, MS, MAS, provides detailed information for those studying nuclear cardiology and is also an invaluable reference tool for those already practicing and teaching.

Now more than ever, clinicians are incorporating nuclear cardiology into their practices. This book provides an overview of the field of nuclear cardiac imaging and explanations of terminology, as well as presenting specific technical information vital to those in the nuclear cardiology field, including normal and abnormal scan patterns. Organized into logical and concise chapters, it is not only suitable for nuclear cardiology courses, but it can be used as a study guide for board examinations as well.

Both Crawford and Husain are highly respected among their peers in the field of nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiac imaging. Syed Sajid Husain is the current Director of Nuclear Cardiology for the Buffalo Heart Group, Buffalo, NY. Elpida S. Crawford, MS, CNMT is the Director of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at State University of New York at Buffalo.

Copies of the book are available through the Society of Nuclear Medicine at www.snm.org or by phone at 800-513-6853 (inside the United States) or at 703-326-1186 (outside the United States).

The authors are available for interviews to discuss their book and the field of nuclear cardiac imaging. Please contact Kimberly A. Bennett for additional information.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine is an international scientific and professional organization of more than 14,000 members dedicated to promoting the science, technology, and practical applications of nuclear medicine. The SNM is based in Reston, VA.
