Journalists are invited to attend the first meeting of NSF's new Advisory Committee on Environmental Research & Education (ERE), on Wednesday, October 11, and Thursday, October 12, at the National Science Foundation, 4201 Wilson Blvd., Room 1235, Arlington, Va.
Agenda highlights include:
- Review of recent NSF activities in the environment
- Goal-setting and planning by the ERE Advisory Committee
- Discussion of linking disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and education
- Discussion of best practices for interdisciplinary review and for building partnerships
- Discussion with NSF's director, Rita Colwell, and deputy director, Joe Bordogna, on Environmental Research & Education
