American Academy of Periodontology's 86th annual meeting

Major advances have been made in understanding the etiology of periodontal disease and its impact on overall health in recent years. The newest findings will be presented at the American Academy of Periodontology's 86th annual meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, September 17-20.

Leading researchers in the field of periodontics will present new findings on topics such as periodontal medicine, cosmetic periodontal surgery, implants and non-surgical therapies to thousands of dental practitioners.

Sessions will include:

  • Periodontal Medicine: Systemic Links
  • Periodontal Medicine Women's Health Issues: Pregnancy, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Smoking and Osteoporosis
  • Medical Assessment of the Periodontal Patient
  • Periodontal Regeneration by Growth Factors
  • Genetics and Periodontal Diseases
