The Midwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society will be held in Quincy, Ill., Oct. 27-29. Researchers will be presenting papers on analytical chemistry for the new millennium. More than 200 papers will be presented at the conference, which is expected to draw at least 450 scientists.
A highlight of the meeting will be colorful chemical demonstrations by Dr. Marvin Lang, who has performed at Disney's Epcot Center and who teachers at the University of Wisc-Stevens Point. His program will be held Friday, Oct. 29 from 10:30 a.m. - noon.
