ADHD:What's Working And Why

Meeting Announcement

NYU Langone Health / NYU Grossman School of Medicine

NYU Child Study Center is sponsoring an all-day conference on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a lifelong illness affecting 5-9% of children and adolescents and 1-3% of adults. The last decade has brought a wealth of research findings that have improved our understanding of the nature of the illness, its implications for optimal functioning, and new treatment options.

The last decade has also left its mark in changing societal thoughts about this disorder and has resulted in new laws that affected schools and the work place.

This conference is designed for mental health professionals, educators, as well as patients, clients, and parents of youngsters who are afflicted with ADHD. New information on theories of ADHD, treatments, and its effect throughout life and other issues will be discussed.

The all day program will provide plenty of time for questions and answers throughout the day as well as a special workshop set aside to ask questions of our expert faculty.
