She initially worked as a business reporter before moving to the science beat at China Newsweek in Beijing. In her time as a science journalist, she has written several cover stories and investigative reports about sperm banks, the London Patient whose HIV was cleared, Elon Musk's Brain-Machine Interface Nuralink, and the Amazon tropical forest fire among other topics. She is currently working on her third cover story for China Newsweek on global sand mining.
