自転する巨大ブラックホールの周りで歳差運動する円盤とジェットの想像図。ブラックホールの自転軸は図の上下方向で固定している。ブラックホールの自転軸に対して円盤の回転軸が傾いていると、一般相対性理論の効果によってジェットの歳差運動が生じる。
