Understanding the physiological significance of γδ T cells in host defense and immunotherapy (IMAGE)

γδ T cells are a group of innate immune cells with increasingly important role in tumor immunotherapy. They are particularly important owing to their role in exerting cytotoxic effect without major histocompatibility complex restriction. Now, in a Chinese Medical Journal review, researchers from China report the latest in basic research and clinical applications of γδ T cells in tumor immunotherapy.
