A paper published in SCIENCE CHINA: Earth Sciences estimated the land use changes on the Tibetan Plateau during the peak carbon period (2021-2040), the carbon neutral period (2051-2070) and the end of the 21st century (2081-2100) based on shared socio-economic pathways (SSPs). The land use trends and land use shift characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau under the future "double carbon" target were estimated.
